523. Groundhog Day

Groundhog Day is a day celebrated on February 2. According to folklore, if it is cloudy when a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day, then spring will come early; if it is sunny, the groundhog will supposedly see its shadow and retreat back into its burrow, and the winter weather will continue for six more weeks.

376/13. Happy Belated Groundhog Day

Groundhog Day 2011

Punxsutawney Phil once again appeared at sunrise on February 2nd at Gobbler's Knob in the Pennsylvania Wilds to make his annual prediction. Phil surveyed his surroundings and found no shadow (just a bunch of human vermon), so an early spring it will be! (read more http://alturl.com/t7byn)
